Furniture Sourcing & Styling

Tell us the look and the budget and we do the finding: sofas, tables, lighting and the pieces in between, delivered, assembled and placed. We blend what you already own with what the room is missing.

The service

What we deliver

Finding the right pieces is a job in itself — hours of searching, deliveries to manage, flat-pack to build, and the nagging doubt about whether it will all work together. We take that on: sourcing to your taste and budget, handling delivery and assembly, and placing everything so the room finally feels finished.

We're happy blending high street with vintage and a few investment pieces, and we design around furniture you already love rather than starting from a showroom catalogue.

What's included

  • Sourcing to a defined look and budget
  • High street, trade and vintage options mixed
  • Delivery management and full assembly
  • Placement and styling on the day
  • Artwork, mirrors and accessories hung level
  • Old furniture removed or rehomed where possible

From brief to delivery

Furniture sourcing is a space-planning and budget exercise before it becomes a shopping exercise

We select pieces against actual dimensions, circulation, visual weight and the items already in the home so purchases build a room rather than a collection of unrelated objects.

What we resolve before work starts

A furniture plan starts with the room geometry and hierarchy: which item anchors the space, where people sit or move, what storage is required and where scale can become a problem.

  • Measured furniture zones and circulation clearances
  • Existing pieces to retain and the gaps the room still has
  • Priority purchases versus items that can be sourced later
  • Fabric, timber, metal and colour compatibility
  • Delivery access, assembly and placement requirements

What a proper handover should include

The service is complete when the selected pieces are in the room, positioned and working together visually and practically.

  • Major furniture placed to the agreed layout
  • Loose lighting, rugs and smaller pieces positioned where included
  • Supplier and product references retained for future matching
  • Delivery damage or missing items identified promptly
  • A final edit so unnecessary pieces do not overcrowd the scheme

Delivery sequence

How this service moves from idea to finished work

01

Inventory & measure

We document room dimensions and what the client already owns before adding anything new.

02

Shortlist

Products are compared for scale, material, availability and budget rather than selected from imagery alone.

03

Order & coordinate

Orders, lead times, access and delivery sequence are managed so large pieces arrive when the room is ready.

04

Place & style

Furniture is assembled or positioned, then smaller elements are used to balance the room rather than fill every empty surface.

Why it is worth planning properly

Measured sourcing reduces the cost of buying the wrong thing twice

Better proportions

Pieces are selected for the real room, reducing sofas, tables or rugs that dominate or disappear in the space.

A clearer spend hierarchy

Budget can go to the items with the greatest visual and practical impact instead of being spread evenly across everything.

Less visual clutter

Existing and new pieces are edited together so the final room feels intentional rather than over-furnished.

Key decisions

What shapes the scope

Budget, new versus vintage, delivery times, children or pets, fabric durability, storage, preferred brands, sustainability priorities and willingness to wait for made-to-order items all affect sourcing.

Budget & programme

What usually moves cost or timing

The number and specification of pieces, bespoke upholstery, premium brands, delivery/assembly, storage and long-distance sourcing move cost. Tight deadlines can require choosing from in-stock ranges rather than the full market.

Why it pays off

What you gain

Curated, Not Catalogue

We source from trusted makers, antiques dealers and trade suppliers, not one high-street range. Your rooms end up looking like you, not a showroom.

Every Piece Fits

Each item is checked against room dimensions, door and stair access, and how you actually move through the space before anything is ordered.

One Managed Delivery

We handle ordering, lead times, storage and delivery, then place everything in a single visit. No months of boxes arriving one by one.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

01

Brief & Budget

We start with how you live: who uses the room, what stays, what goes, and where you want to invest versus save.

02

Sourcing & Approval

You receive a curated selection for each piece with dimensions, fabrics and finishes. Nothing is ordered until you have approved it.

03

Delivery & Styling Day

Furniture arrives together, is placed and adjusted with you there, and the room is styled and finished before we leave.

Sound familiar?

Asked for every week

Tell us what the room is missing and what you already own. We will measure the gaps before recommending new furniture, rather than replacing items simply because they are not part of a new collection.

  • Furnish a new-build apartment from empty shell to move-in ready
  • Source a sofa and armchairs to suit an awkward bay-fronted living room
  • Blend inherited antiques with contemporary pieces in a period home
  • Style shelving, consoles and coffee tables with art, books and objects
  • Replace tired furniture in a family living room without redecorating
  • Put together a complete furniture package for a buy-to-let flat

Good to know

Common questions

Do you charge a mark-up on furniture?

No hidden ones. You see what each piece costs; our time is charged transparently as part of the project. Where trade discounts exist, we pass savings into the budget.

Can you work with what we already own?

That's usually the best starting point. We build the scheme around the pieces you love, recover or refinish what deserves a second life, and only buy what the room is genuinely missing.

Start the conversation

Ready to start your project?

Send room photos, dimensions, a list of items to keep and the total budget you want to allocate to sourcing. We can then prioritise the pieces that will change the room most.
